SKETCHES is the A-side of SKETCHES & CUTS.



Recorded mostly on a Sony TC -142 cassette recorder, SKETCHES contains a small song-cycle and "Tiger tried to stay again". These songs were concieved from a writing exercises with a small songwriting group in 2022. Intentionally written as a song-cycle, the three tunes and enter/exit field recordings dictate a small change in perspective, the turning over of a wheel at its final point. "Tiger tried to stay again" was a somewhat stream-of-conciousness tune, mostly written out of throwing different dice with words on them.



CUTS is the B-side of SKETCHES & CUTS



These pieces are a cut collage made mostly of altered voice memos and sound design projects, stiched together to create the seamless tapestry of CUTS. A faint narrative throughline emerges as the feelings of coping with the crippling effects of climate change, death, and daily life.
