about
‘Hearth’ is the last single from Glenn Echo’s upcoming EP, Fixed Memory, out in early 2021. Highlighting the nature of transitions, ‘Hearth’ outlines a union of those annual cycles.
Balancing the organic and artificial, electronic and acoustic, embracing and yearning, the song focuses itself as a centerpiece and a junction where two places meet. Beginning with braiding melodies and rhythmic pulses, the verses converge with a raw and intimate chorus longing.
Featuring Matt Gaydar (vocals, guitars, drums, samples), Peter Brownlee (synth, drums), and Katie Martucci (vocals, violin), ‘Hearth’ soothes the push and pull, a reminder to fall back to center.

lyrics
shine on your light
it is dark now
wind swept your shoulders
lean in closer to me
shine on your light
i have lost my sight
you'll be my eyes now
guide me, show me how
you are my hearth, my home
stoke the fire
i've been away too long
stoke the fire
my inner flame burns low
stoke the fire
burn me up
shine on your light
these nights grow cold
warm up the kettle
whisper a little in
in my ear
you are my hearth, my home
stoke the fire
i've been away too long
stoke the fire
my inner flame burns low
stoke the fire
burn me up, bleed me dry, dig me out
bring me back
